Major Construction Senior Project Manager (Transmission Substations)

Location: Hybrid, primarily Pomona, California; employees are required to work and reside in California. The role includes reporting to an SCE facility for a set number of days, remote work on remaining days, and up to 25% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $182,800–$274,100 per year.

What you will do

• Manage multiple large, long-term, and complex transmission substation projects across scope, schedule, budget, cost, and risk.
• Develop project strategies, business cases, scopes, schedules, budgets, estimates, approval materials, and change-control processes.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, project managers, supplemental workers, and contractors through project development and execution.
• Oversee environmental assessments, state and federal permitting, land acquisition, engineering, construction planning, procurement, contracts, testing, quality assurance, and project closeout.
• Present project issues, milestones, recommendations, and business decisions to senior and executive management.
• Provide project leadership for safety, financial accountability, contractor oversight, and protection of sensitive company and customer information.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of construction project management experience, including structuring, negotiating, and managing contracts.
• Experience working with environmental agencies to permit infrastructure projects.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.

Nice to have

• Project Management Certification and/or PMP.
• Knowledge and experience with substations through engineering, project management, construction, maintenance, or operations.
• Experience translating complex project information into clear presentations and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Experience managing project cost, budget, scope, schedule, resources, vendors, planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Experience with project cost and schedule management and project risk analysis and management.
• Experience developing and managing schedules using Primavera scheduling software.
• Experience leading direct interactions with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
