Staff Global Supply Manager, Construction

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, California, United States; quarterly travel to Reno, Nevada, and project sites as needed.

Salary: $186,000–$215,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Direct sourcing strategy for civil, trenching, cable, cable tray, and electrical balance-of-system scopes for energy storage projects.
• Run RFQ and RFP events, level bids, align scopes, and prepare award recommendations for construction subcontractors and materials.
• Negotiate construction contracts, master service agreements, and change orders.
• Develop should-cost models and construction cost benchmarks to support project budgets and pricing.
• Advise construction, engineering, and project controls teams on procurement strategy, schedule risk, and supplier capacity.
• Build the construction supplier base and establish qualification, performance tracking, risk mitigation, and procurement standards across the EPC function.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of construction procurement or EPC supply chain experience.
• Working knowledge of lump-sum, unit-price, and time-and-materials construction contracts, subcontractor scopes, and change-order management.
• Working knowledge of civil and electrical construction scopes, including medium-voltage and low-voltage cable, trenching, and cable tray.
• Ability to build cost models and level bids in Excel, with experience in ERP and procurement systems such as Workday.
• Ability to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers and influence senior internal stakeholders.
