Cloud Applications Developer (MuleSoft)

Location: Hybrid in Trenton, New Jersey, United States; onsite work required 3 days per week.

Salary: $95–$101 per hour.

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and support MuleSoft integrations running on Amazon EKS for the NJ DCF HR Modernization initiative.
• Develop New Jersey client interfaces, REST APIs, DataWeave transformations, and event-driven services.
• Use AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and PostgreSQL on RDS to implement cloud application functionality.
• Write automated unit tests, support CI/CD pipelines, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality integrations and deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on MuleSoft development experience, including DataWeave.
• Experience deploying applications to Amazon EKS or Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, PostgreSQL RDS, REST API development, automated testing, and Git-based development workflows.
• Ability to work onsite in Trenton, New Jersey, 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures and external write gateway integrations.
• AWS Certified Developer Associate certification.
• MuleSoft Certified Developer certification.
• Experience with child welfare or human services systems.
• Experience with State of New Jersey agencies.
