Software Development Engineer III, MuleSoft

Location: Remote, United States; candidates should be based on the East Coast or be willing to work Eastern hours.

Compensation: $111,273–$185,397, $127,900–$213,100, $140,690–$234,410, or $153,480–$255,720 USD annually, depending on U.S. geographic zone; total target compensation includes base pay and performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Design and develop MuleSoft integrations, APIs, and connectors using Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform.
• Implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance integration solutions across enterprise environments.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, analyze error logs, and implement solutions.
• Perform unit testing, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with testing teams on integration test cases.
• Assist with deploying MuleSoft applications and configurations across environments.
• Document technical specifications, system processes, and integration flows; stay current with MuleSoft releases and provide guidance to junior developers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a MuleSoft Developer using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Deep knowledge of Mule ESB, API Manager, Mule runtime, Anypoint Studio, and CloudHub 2.0.
• Thorough understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Experience integrating ERP systems, CRM systems, databases, cloud platforms, and other third-party applications.
• Knowledge of security protocols, encryption, OAuth, SSL, and API governance policies.
• Proficiency with SQL and database variations; familiarity with Salesforce CRM and CPQ, its object model, Developer Console, and SOQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, plus experience with Java SpringBoot.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, multitasking, prioritization, and time-management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a distributed team.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; alternatively, 7 years of relevant integration-domain experience.
• 5–7 years of overall software development experience, including 2–5 years with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

• MuleSoft certification, such as MuleSoft Certified Developer.
