Data Center Infrastructure Technician

Location: Remote, USA in the listing; requires presence at the Plano, Texas data center 5 days per week and shift work.

Salary: $109K–$145K annual salary.

What you will do

• Rack, label, cable, configure, and deploy server, storage, networking, GPU, and other data center infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across advanced GPU and networking systems.
• Document data center layouts and network topology in DCIM software and follow installation standards.
• Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, product management, support, and hardware teams on deployments, operational capabilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Manage parts depot inventory and track equipment through delivery, staging, deployment, handoff, RMA, and replacement workflows.
• Resolve and disseminate solutions for complex hardware incidents and improve maintenance MOPs.

Requirements

• Strong experience with critical infrastructure systems supporting data centers, including power distribution, airflow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM software, structured cabling, and cable management.
• Familiarity with carrier DIA circuit testing and turn-ups, fiber testing and troubleshooting, cable optics, cable media types, and their uses.
• Solid understanding of single-phase and three-phase power theory, PDU balancing, server hardware, and the server boot process.
• Ability to structure, collaborate on, and iteratively improve complex maintenance MOPs.
• Ability to translate business priorities into technical and operational requirements and support cross-functional infrastructure projects.
• Action-oriented approach and willingness to train junior staff on best practices.
• Willingness to travel for the bring-up of new data center locations as needed.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience with critical data center infrastructure systems.
• Experience with or knowledge of network topology, network configurations, and 400Gb InfiniBand architectures.
• Experience with or knowledge of DDP or SCM cluster storage systems.
• 3+ years of experience working with and reporting from ticketing systems such as JIRA and Zendesk.
• Advanced Linux administration experience.
• Experience with high-performance computing GPU systems, including air- or water-cooled systems and Nvidia NVL72.
