Data Center Technician (AI)

Location: Douglasville, Georgia; 100% on-site. Must live within 60 minutes of the site for rotating on-call support and be able to travel up to 15% to other data center locations.

Base salary: $65,000–$85,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Assemble, rack, stack, install, provision, and maintain server, storage, and networking hardware.
• Perform hardware and network diagnostics on live and offline systems, troubleshoot tickets, replace components, and complete physical repairs.
• Maintain hot/cold aisle containment, structured cabling, cable management, inventory records, and physical and cybersecurity standards.
• Install operating systems and contribute to standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with local and cross-functional teams, share knowledge, and support team training and operational readiness.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and arrive on-site within 60 minutes when hands-on incident response is required.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience or coursework in computer hardware assembly, installation, and physical and logical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and fundamental networking concepts.
• Ability to follow procedures, prioritize tasks, troubleshoot technical issues, and recognize when to seek guidance or escalate.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, a collaborative and curious mindset, and commitment to high reliability standards.
• Willingness to build technical skills, learn new systems, and take on responsibilities matching experience.
• Ability to move and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, remain stationary for extended periods, access confined spaces, under-floor areas, and ladders, and handle small components, connectors, and cabling precisely.
• Ability to work in data center environments with hot/cold aisle temperatures from 60°F to 90°F.
• Must live within 60 minutes of the Douglasville site, participate in rotating on-call coverage, and travel up to 15% as needed.
• Must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to controlled information.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Networking, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in enterprise or commercial data center environments.
• Linux OS administration, command-line tools, and device provisioning experience.
• Scripting and automation experience with Python, Bash, or shell scripts.
• Networking experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, or enterprise switch/router configurations.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or Linux+ certification.
