Data Center Technician

Location: Remote, USA; requires presence at the Plano, TX data center 5 days per week and shift work. Travel is required for bringing up new data center locations.

Salary: $89K–$119K annual.

What you will do

• Rack, label, cable, and configure server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced data center systems.
• Document data center layouts and network topology in DCIM software.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing teams on system deployments and large-scale project plans.
• Manage parts depot inventory and track equipment through delivery, staging, deployment, and handoff.
• Coordinate with hardware support and RMA teams to resolve infrastructure tickets, return faulty parts, and order replacements.

Requirements

• Familiarity with critical data center infrastructure, including power distribution, airflow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, DCIM software, structured cabling, and cable management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Action-oriented approach and strong willingness to learn.
• Willingness to travel for bringing up new data center locations.

Nice to have

• Server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with or knowledge of network topology.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA and Zendesk.
• Linux administration experience.
• Experience working in large-scale distributed data center environments.
• Experience with Supermicro and NVIDIA hardware.
