Community Programs Manager

Location: Brooklyn, New York, United States; hybrid work with attendance at the Brooklyn office once or twice per week for candidates within commuting distance. Remote candidates outside commuting distance may be considered case by case, with occasional travel to the office.

Salary: Geo-1 USD 108,000–146,000 annual; Geo-2 USD 97,000–131,000 annual.

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day operating rhythm of the Employee Resource Group program and provide leaders with expectations, tools, resources, and support.
• Coordinate ERG lead applications, selection, onboarding, training, and transitions.
• Partner with ERG leads to turn priorities into plans, milestones, and follow-through.
• Build and maintain playbooks, calendars, trackers, templates, budget processes, and communication channels.
• Support ERG programming, key moments, partnerships, escalations, and connections across ERGs.
• Gather feedback, identify program opportunities, report activity and risks, and support other Community & Belonging programs as priorities evolve.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in program management, employee communities, DEI, HR, or a related field.
• Experience supporting ERGs, employee-led communities, or similar programs requiring trust, care, and operating discipline.
• Strong program-management skills, including turning ambiguity into clear plans, building useful systems, and managing multiple workstreams.
• High emotional intelligence and sound judgment when handling conversations about identity, belonging, and difficult topics with care and discretion.
• Collaborative, service-oriented approach that supports employee leaders without taking ownership away from them.
• Strong written communication and ability to create clarity for a distributed, global audience.
• Comfort working in a changing environment, identifying improvements, and helping others adopt better ways of working.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and provide hands-on support for in-person events, including physical setup when needed.
