Events and Community Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA; hybrid / in-office. US right to work is strongly preferred; visa sponsorship is possible in exceptional cases but may slow the process.

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 base plus meaningful equity.

Jack & Jill is an early-stage AI hiring company headquartered in London, with around 25 employees and a recently launched San Francisco presence.

What you will do

• Own events end to end, including concepts, logistics, guest lists, execution, and follow-up.
• Design and execute career fairs, founder dinners, meetups, and new event formats at high volume.
• Turn events into recaps, clips, photos, and posts across LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, and X.
• Activate and expand a San Francisco network of founders, VCs, and operators.
• Connect events and content to awareness and pipeline, measuring what works.
• Work independently with the GTM Lead and San Francisco GTM team in a distributed environment.

Requirements

• Experience running event series at high volume and amplifying them on social media with measurable reach.
• Background in events, community, or content at a startup, fintech, or VC-adjacent company, ideally in San Francisco.
• Recognized connections in the San Francisco ecosystem, with the ability to generate introductions, access, and audience through content.
• Hands-on experience building a community, meetup, event series, or social following from zero.
• Ability to connect community and event activity to warm pipeline and measurable business results.
• Comfort with the scrappy, high-ownership, 0-to-1 environment of an early-stage startup.
• Individual contributor who performs the hands-on work directly rather than through a team.
• Must be based in or strongly connected to San Francisco; the role requires an SF-real network.

Nice to have

• Experience running events or communities at a VC fund or accelerator and amplifying founder dinners, demo days, or portfolio moments on social media.
• Experience as the first community, events, or partnerships hire, building the function from scratch.
• Evidence of tying community work to sign-ups, acquisition, or partnerships with measurable results.
• Genuine interest in AI and the future of hiring.
