Industrial Security Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo/East Aurora, New York, United States; the posting also lists Remote.

Salary: $60,000–$96,000 annually.

What you will do

• Manage personnel clearance activities, including badge access, Department of Defense clearance processing, upgrades, reinvestigations, access requests, prescreening questionnaires, and records updates.
• Maintain accurate records in DISS and internal systems and support random entry and exit inspections and rotational end-of-day checks.
• Assist with investigations of infractions and security violations and prepare reports and weekly summaries for the Facility Security Officer.
• Track unauthorized access attempts, alarm events, contracted patrol reports, and sign-in compliance.
• Prepare FOCI mitigation reports, identify concerns, and support monthly and quarterly reviews.
• Help update security policies, procedures, and standard work while identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience in corporate security, industrial security, and/or legal compliance.
• Current Top Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain it for the duration of employment, including all required training and certifications.
• High ethical, moral, and trustworthiness standards for protecting personal, company-sensitive, and U.S. Government classified and unclassified sensitive information.
• Ability to work onsite independently and collaboratively with security teams and internal and external program stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and proper records management.
• Experience interpreting and applying NISPOM, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency’s Assessment and Authorization Guide, and other Department of Defense regulations, including controlled unclassified information.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and U.S. government databases including DISS, SWFT, and NISS.
• Ability to walk within large buildings several times per day while carrying packages weighing less than 20 pounds.
• Valid New York State driver’s license.
