Sr Software Engineer, Cloud - Fusion (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California, with 2–3 days per week in the office.

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 base salary per year for U.S. candidates, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Build highly fault-tolerant Golang microservices for the Fusion product and its supporting ecosystem.
• Support ultra-high-volume Kafka event pipelines that manage customer workflows.
• Develop features for Fusion, a platform providing workflow orchestration and access to reusable Falcon Platform components, partner products, and APIs.
• Contribute to cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement reliable solutions.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of overall applicable experience in a technical role; the average experience level is 10–16 years.
• 5+ years of recent experience building event-driven, microservices-oriented architectures.
• Experience building streaming platforms at scale, including systems processing over 1 trillion events per day.
• Expert knowledge of at least one backend language: Go, Scala, Java, Node, or Python.
• Proven expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Production experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience using both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Knative or a similar open-source serverless infrastructure framework.
• Contributions to the open-source community through GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging, or similar activities.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Golang experience.
• Prior cybersecurity experience.
