Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; most teams work from the office full time.

Salary: $183,600–$297,000 per year, with potential bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional delivery with Product Management, SRE, ML, Quality Engineering, and partner engineering teams.
• Translate product and security vision into resilient, production-ready backend architectures.
• Design and execute large-scale enterprise systems with model-serving infrastructure and scalable backend integrations.
• Drive performance and efficiency improvements to increase throughput, reduce latency, and optimize resource utilization.
• Implement modern engineering practices, including agentic coding workflows and spec-driven development.
• Mentor senior and junior engineers and promote technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 10+ years of relevant industry experience, or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Deep expertise designing, building, and operating highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems, with exceptional programming skills in Python or Golang.
• Experience designing enterprise-wide microservices architectures and deploying high-throughput, globally scaled APIs that meet strict SLOs, maximize throughput, and reduce production compute costs.
• Experience architecting cloud-native solutions, preferably with GCP, relational and NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, GitLab, ArgoCD, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Ability to drive consensus across multiple teams, solve ambiguous technical problems, and mentor senior engineering talent.
• Hands-on experience architecting, building, and deploying complex agentic workflows, tool-use pipelines, or multi-agent orchestrations.
