Electrical Designer I

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada — 200 Granville Street; onsite role.

Base compensation: CAD 65,000–75,000 annually.

What you will do

• Set up, digitize, clean up, and maintain AutoCAD drawing files.
• Prepare electrical layouts and schematic designs for low-voltage, life-safety, control, and lighting systems under senior supervision.
• Support 2D drawing production and 3D building-model development.
• Follow design checklists, drawing standards, and AutoCAD standards.
• Review completed work for accuracy before returning it to the Designer.
• Coordinate with design staff, equipment suppliers, and constructors to assemble complete client-submission packages.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD experience combined with design experience in low-voltage, high-voltage, life-safety, control, and lighting systems.
• University degree or college/technology diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings with supervision from senior staff.
• Some knowledge of electrical building-services engineering codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work as part of a team.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability.
