What you will do

• Calculate quantities and measurements of building elements for detailed and conceptual estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates based on narratives, design briefs, and conceptual drawings using CIQS and Uniformate standards.
• Review pricing for change orders and guide the measurement of project statistics and functional areas.
• Perform design efficiency analysis and complete full trade and elemental take-offs.
• Prepare front-end cost reports and reconcile estimates with tenders, owner budgets, and contractor estimates.
• Conduct market research and price checking to provide accurate project and cost data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in estimating or cost consulting.
• Working towards PQS, MRICS, or Cost Engineers designation.
• Knowledge of RICS Project Monitoring guidelines, CIQS standard methods, LEED, and Toronto Green Standards (TGS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint) and CostX or similar cost estimating software.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and client presentation skills.
