Lead Business Analyst (AI)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY; office attendance required twice a week.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 USD annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Partner with financial services clients to understand business objectives, assess current-state processes, and define transformation requirements.
• Develop client proposals and solution recommendations aligned with business needs and available products, services, tools, and methodologies.
• Guide initiatives from discovery and requirements definition through solution design, implementation, and delivery.
• Analyze processes, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend improvements using structured problem-solving methods.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, business teams, and technical specialists while communicating complex business and technical information clearly.
• Provide project and technical guidance to colleagues and use generative AI tools to create client-ready deliverables, validating outputs for quality and accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience working at or consulting for broker-dealers, institutional asset managers, wealth managers, financial market utilities such as clearing corporations, or comparable financial services organizations.
• Advisory experience with an established consulting firm.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate business needs into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to collaborate across business and technology teams and communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience prompting advanced generative AI models to produce client-ready deliverables, proposals, and other business content.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with attendance in the office twice a week.

Nice to have

• Experience developing reusable AI agent instructions, Markdown-based workflows, or recipes for recurring, multistep outputs.
• Experience configuring Model Context Protocol, command-line interfaces, or equivalent integrations that enable AI agents to interact with tools and external systems.
• Technical data skills including SQL, Python, ETL/ELT frameworks, Snowflake, Databricks, data modeling, or ontology development.
• Financial modeling skills.
