2027 Future Talent Program - Pharmacokinetic, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics Intern (Pharmacokinetics and Bioanalytics)

Location: West Point, Pennsylvania, United States of America. Full-time, on-site internship for up to 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2027. No relocation, travel, or visa sponsorship.

Salary range: $39,108–$111,111.

hirify.global's Research and Development Division includes the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group within the Pharmacokinetic, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics department.

What you will do

• Develop and execute cell-based induction assays for major drug-metabolizing enzymes.
• Evaluate approaches for quantifying mRNA and assessing CYP gene expression upregulation.
• Explore automation capabilities for Cytochrome P450 enzyme induction workflows.
• Perform in vitro laboratory assays using cell culture, enzymes, cell suspensions, or tissue preparations.
• Interpret data and communicate research results verbally and in writing within a cross-functional team.
• Maintain accurate records, complete required training, and follow laboratory safety requirements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree, or as a graduate student pursuing a master's degree or PhD, in Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
• Must be enrolled full-time in the fall semester at an accredited university or college after the internship.
• Must be available to work full-time for up to 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2027.
• Must have completed at least three years of bachelor's studies by June 2027.
• Basic laboratory skills and research experience with in vitro biological systems and cell culture, including aseptic technique, basic pipetting, and dilution techniques.
• Ability to follow procedures and thoroughly document experiments.
• Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and ability to work in a multifunctional environment.

Nice to have

• Experience and knowledge in cell and molecular biology, including reverse transcription and real-time PCR, as well as chemistry.
• Basic understanding of pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism.
• Interest in automation, with understanding of automation systems and/or experience in automation processes.
• Leadership, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
