Translational Research Project Manager - Thoracic Oncology

Location: Hybrid, with 2–3 days onsite per week in Boston, MA; remote work is limited to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island.

Salary: $79,400–$91,900 per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate and independently manage thoracic oncology translational and biobanking research projects from initiation through completion.
• Collect and coordinate biological samples and clinical data for research projects.
• Support Principal Investigators with grant applications, progress reports, protocol submissions, amendments, and deviation filings.
• Lead and participate in meetings with internal and external research collaborators.
• Assist with supervision and guidance of research staff and coordinators.
• Manage project schedules, resources, documentation, and communications while identifying and resolving minor execution issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, public health, or a related discipline.
• Three years of experience in clinical research or project management.
• Experience coordinating meetings, maintaining documentation, and performing basic project management tasks.
• Basic understanding of translational research principles, biobanking processes, data collection, and research data management.
• Basic knowledge of regulatory affairs, research ethics, and responsible conduct of research.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to draft clear reports and documentation.
• Competency with project management software and tools.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and support the integration of clinical and laboratory research.

• Experience with translational research projects.
• Experience at an academic institution with a proven record in clinical research.
• Experience with regulatory affairs, research ethics, and Responsible Conduct of Research.
• Experience with basic grant writing and regulatory documentation.
