Consultant, Procurement

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site and other days remote. You must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, hold a valid work or study permit.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for indirect spend categories across multiple lines of business.
• Advise internal clients on sourcing approaches, supplier selection methodologies, RFPs, and procurement recommendations.
• Develop, negotiate, execute, and implement low- to moderate-complexity procurement contracts.
• Draft contract content, including commercial terms and descriptive content, independently or with legal support.
• Lead contract negotiations, secure approvals, and ensure risks, regulatory requirements, and procurement policies are addressed.
• Work with Supplier Risk Stakeholders, Relationship Managers, Business Leads, suppliers, and internal business partners.

Requirements

• Experience with procurement and/or supplier processes, practices, tools, templates, and formal sourcing principles.
• Ability to improve efficiencies in processes and systems to support business goals.
• Strong self-planning, prioritization, multitasking, organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage assignments, concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities and meet timelines.
• Ability and desire to develop strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with business partners, suppliers, peers, and stakeholders.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, accountability, problem-solving, and client-focused decision-making skills.
• Ability to follow procurement and supplier governance policies and contract approval processes.

Nice to have

• Experience drafting contract schedules such as Statements of Work and Service Level Agreements.
• Knowledge of back-office operations, offshoring, and outsourcing services-based contracts.
