Senior Azure Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States.

What you will do

• Design and govern the Azure platform supporting upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
• Architect enterprise Azure environments, including multi-subscription landing zones, hybrid connectivity, and large migrations.
• Support subsurface and seismic data, SAP and enterprise systems, operational data, and secure IT/OT connectivity.
• Design large-scale data platforms and high-availability/disaster-recovery architectures for mission-critical systems.
• Balance analytics, AI, and digital-twin innovation with remote-site connectivity, safety, cybersecurity, regulatory, and data-volume constraints.
• Work credibly with IT and operations stakeholders.

Requirements

• 12–16 years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering, including 8+ years of hands-on Azure architecture experience.
• Proven delivery of enterprise Azure environments, including multi-subscription landing zones, ExpressRoute or VPN hybrid connectivity, and large migrations.
• Experience in oil and gas, energy, utilities, mining, or another asset-heavy industry, with understanding of OT and IT differences in risk, change control, and availability expectations.
• Deep expertise in Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, and security services.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform and/or Bicep, plus CI/CD experience.
• Experience designing large-scale data platforms and high-availability/disaster-recovery solutions for mission-critical systems.
• Working knowledge of OT security principles, including the Purdue model, network segmentation, and IEC 62443 concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work credibly with IT and operations stakeholders.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-305) or equivalent hands-on credibility.
