New Product Development Test Engineer Intern (Semiconductor Test)

What you will do

• Translate product requirements and datasheets into technical specifications, compliance matrices, design-for-test requirements, and ATE test plans.
• Support cost-effective ATE hardware design, resource allocation, multisite efficiency, pin multiplexing, socket design, board schematics, and layout.
• Develop, bring up, validate, and debug automated test programs for digital, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits using Advantest and Teradyne platforms.
• Analyze test and characterization data covering design margins, wafer-fabrication variation, parametric performance, yield, and test-time optimization.
• Support process-window experiments, silicon and package qualification, product specification compliance, and manufacturing-readiness activities.
• Collaborate with Design, DFT, Design Validation, Program Management, Quality and Reliability, Customer Quality, Bench Characterization, Applications, Fab, Assembly, and factory Test teams; document lessons learned and contribute methods to the Standard Test Methods Library.

Requirements

• At least a sophomore at the time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field through an accredited degree program during the internship.
• Overall GPA of at least 3.0 and good academic standing.
• Written and verbal English fluency.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

• Leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, or similar activities.
• Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision-making.
• Project management skills, innovation and execution ability, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Coursework or project experience in semiconductor test, design-for-test, integrated-circuit design, electronics, or semiconductor physics.
• Programming experience in one or more of C, C++, Python, or Perl.
• Familiarity with digital, analog, or mixed-signal circuits, test automation, or laboratory measurement equipment.
