Junior Software Developer (C/C++)

Location: Farnborough, UK; full-time, onsite. Candidates must be UK nationals and British passport holders with sole nationality and a minimum of 5 years' UK residency to be eligible for high-level security clearance.

What you will do

• Develop software products and solutions as part of a software engineering team.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in architectural discussions to maintain code quality and best practices.
• Ensure software activities are delivered on time and within scope.
• Participate in investigation activities and technology assessments.
• Support innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant software engineering and development experience.
• Hands-on production experience with C/C++ programming.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and Python programming in real-world projects.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD.
• Awareness of version control system principles.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and time management skills.
• Willingness to develop new technical skills.
• Eligibility for high-level security clearance: UK national and British passport holder, sole nationality, and at least 5 years' UK residency.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
