Software Development Engineer, AWS Security Epoxy

What you will do

• Design and deliver features for AWS Security Epoxy automation platforms supporting threat detection, risk remediation, and incident response.
• Build and operate foundational services for communications, workflow orchestration, data enrichment, and secure access.
• Improve system resiliency, scalability, safety, monitoring, and operational excellence at very high scale.
• Write tested code, documentation, and runbooks, and participate in code, design, operational readiness, and post-incident reviews.
• Join the on-call rotation, resolve high-severity incidents, and implement permanent fixes that prevent recurrence.
• Mentor newer engineers and interns and collaborate with partner detection and response teams.

Requirements

• Professional, non-internship experience in software development.
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
• Ability to design, test, document, and operate robust, maintainable software.
• Experience with AWS services, Python, or TypeScript is relevant to the role.
• Security experience is useful but not required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
