Software Application Engineer (Control Systems)

Location: Kristinehamn, Sweden; option to work remotely or from a home office.

What you will do

• Develop and adapt control and automation application software for marine control systems.
• Customize software according to individual customer requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, application engineers, suppliers, and customers.
• Provide technical support to sales and service organizations when necessary.
• Develop software mainly through function block programming in AutoCAD.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering in automation, electronics, data science, control theory, or a similar field.
• High level of spoken and written English.
• Ability to complete citizenship-related export-control questions during recruitment.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening in accordance with company security standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in development and software design for automation systems.
• General experience with electrical design and marine operations.
• Knowledge or experience with AutoCAD, C, Java, MATLAB Simulink, and Linux.
• Communication skills in additional languages.
