Accounting & Finance Operations Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Remote

Base salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, plus equity incentive eligibility and competitive benefits.

What you will do

• Own customer invoicing, cash application, collections, dispute resolution, aging reporting, and receivables performance optimization.
• Manage prefunded patient exam cards through Lithic, including funding, reconciliation, reimbursement tracking, and cash exposure.
• Administer payroll through Rippling and corporate card and expense operations through Ramp, including policies, approvals, spend limits, deductions, tax reconciliations, and integrations.
• Partner with and oversee the external accounting firm through monthly close, reconciliations, accruals, reporting, deliverables, and process improvements.
• Develop financial policies, internal controls, standard operating procedures, and scalable accounting workflows.
• Manage accounts payable reporting, vendor onboarding, contract tracking, financial records, cash visibility, audit preparation, tax compliance, diligence, and related finance initiatives.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or a related field, with hands-on ownership or management of the monthly close process.
• Strong experience with accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, cash reconciliation, collection performance improvement, and DSO reduction.
• Experience overseeing outsourced accounting firms, bookkeepers, or other third-party financial service providers.
• Hands-on experience administering payroll through Rippling or a comparable platform such as ADP or Gusto.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Ramp or similar accounting and spend management platforms.
• Experience developing and implementing accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong Excel skills, including analyzing, reconciling, and interpreting financial data across multiple systems.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, deadline management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proactive, process-oriented approach with the ability to identify inefficiencies, solve problems independently, build scalable solutions, and work effectively as processes evolve in a growing company.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience in healthcare, medical billing, or payer reimbursement operations.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and finance-related integrations.
• Experience supporting financial audits, fundraising diligence, or accounting operations at a high-growth startup.
• Experience working alongside a Controller or helping establish a more structured accounting function.
