SDET (Java Test Automation)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; onsite at 4835 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway, Suite 540.

Compensation: USD 37,000–132,000 annually.

hirify.global is hiring for an SDET position focused on customer-facing applications and web services.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for front-end applications and web services.
• Write and maintain application features and unit, component, integration, functional, performance, scenario, and interoperability tests.
• Integrate reliable, portable, and trustworthy tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate and debug front-end and web service issues while validating functionality, performance, security, and reliability.
• Improve test coverage, release velocity, production health, engineering practices, and testability.
• Participate in application and test code reviews with development and Agile teams, partners, and technology leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a technology-related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience testing and automating front-end and web service applications.
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or Groovy; HTTP; RESTful web services; Jenkins; and Git.
• Experience with UI test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Protractor.
• Experience testing and automating web services with tools such as HttpClient, RestAssured, JMeter, or SoapUI.
• Experience testing Angular web applications and investigating and debugging front-end and web service issues.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience delivering software in an Agile environment.
• Experience designing and building applications and using test automation frameworks, with extensive experience in Java and its ecosystem.
• Knowledge of Java, Groovy, Selenium, Geb, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTTP, and RESTful web services, with a strong focus on test-driven development and maintainable code.
• Self-directed, proactive, results-oriented, detail-oriented, and able to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with APIs.
• Experience with contact center integration projects.
• Familiarity with Genesys or similar telephony platforms.
• Interest in learning new technologies and driving their adoption.
