Sr. Test Engineer (Automation)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain test plans, strategies, cases, documentation, quality metrics, and stakeholder-readable test reports for the P-TACTS DevSecOps environment.
• Build and maintain a Java-based Selenium automation framework using Page Object Model, TestNG, Cucumber, parallel execution, reusable utilities, and centralized exception handling.
• Integrate automated smoke and regression suites into CI/CD pipelines with automated reporting.
• Support security, performance, load, stress, compliance, monitoring, and analytics testing for mission-critical software.
• Set up and maintain production-like test environments, extend API testing frameworks, and participate in manual UI and customer-facing feature testing.
• Collaborate with development, security, operations, product, and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC; manage defects and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution and 10 years of related experience, or 8 years with a master’s degree.
• Strong Java programming skills, including object-oriented design, the Collections Framework, exception handling, and Java 8 or later streams and lambdas.
• Demonstrated experience building Java-based test automation frameworks from scratch and maintaining them over time.
• Hands-on Selenium WebDriver experience, including explicit and fluent waits, dynamic and stale element handling, multiple windows, alerts, file uploads, and JavascriptExecutor; Selenium 4 is preferred.
• Experience with TestNG, including parallel execution, listeners, and test reporting, and with BDD using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and automating REST API tests in Java using TestNG.
• Experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Test Engineer in an Agile environment and testing web applications across front-end UI and back-end services.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise applications; AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner at minimum, with higher-level AWS certifications also meeting the requirement.
• Experience with Rally and GitLab is preferred; comparable tools such as Jira, GitHub, or Jenkins are acceptable.

Nice to have

• Experience with security testing tools and methods, including static and dynamic code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and compliance validation.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience running Selenium tests at scale using Selenium Grid or cloud-based browser services.
• Familiarity with AWS services for testing, monitoring, and environment automation.
• Postman experience.
