SDET Intern (QA Automation)

What you will do

• Write and maintain automated tests for RESTful APIs, web interfaces, and web services under SDET mentorship.
• Build UI tests with Playwright and API and integration tests for existing automation frameworks.
• Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into detailed, executable test cases and scenarios.
• Verify data integrity by querying relational databases and comparing expected and actual results.
• Prepare test data and environments, and support User Acceptance Testing with business stakeholders.
• Log reproducible defects, track them through resolution, participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews, and evaluate AI-assisted testing outputs.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of Java from academic work, personal projects, or a bootcamp, with some exposure to Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design concepts and the ability to write simple, modular, maintainable code.
• Good knowledge of SQL and the ability to interact with relational databases such as MariaDB.
• Genuine interest in writing clean, efficient test automation code for APIs and user interfaces.
• Analytical ability to turn requirements into detailed test cases and scenarios.
• Understanding of modern software quality principles, including Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development.
• Willingness to learn complex business rules and ask questions until the logic is clear.
• Clear written and verbal communication and comfort working with engineers and business users.
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Curiosity about AI and prompt engineering or hands-on experience using LLM tools.
