What you will do

• Act as the senior technology authority for specific projects or programmes, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Translate business needs into project boundaries, technical specifications, and robust requirements for supplier engagement.
• Produce end-to-end technical and holistic service designs covering technology, support, management, and maintenance.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple technical disciplines, teams, suppliers, and governance functions.
• Model current, target, and transition states; define migration methods and decompose them into engineering tasks.
• Oversee technical delivery, present complex architecture solutions to customers, and ensure services are ready for operations.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge of technology solutions within complex enterprises.
• Experience with network, security, and storage technology solutions.
• Experience producing technical design documentation in multi-supplier environments and delivering within agreed timescales.
• Experience across the full project lifecycle, from initiation through decommissioning.
• Understanding of business analysis, service architecture, and service management.
• Knowledge of application integration, migration, and business transformation.
• Understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, SQL Server 2016/2019/2022, SUSE/Red Hat Linux 7/8/9, NAS/SAN, Windows 10/11, SCOM, SCCM, client-server applications, general networking, and containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Podman.
• SC Cleared or eligible.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of public cloud platforms beyond the stated requirements.
• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and MySQL.
• TOGAF certification or knowledge.
