Connected Asset Data Specialist (Regulatory Compliance)

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates; fully office-based, 5 days per week when not traveling, with up to 25% business travel. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Support regulatory compliance and data governance tools and processes for product data, connected assets, engines, machines, power systems, and digital applications.
• Work with design teams on product and application compliance reviews and review technical publications for compliance-related issues.
• Track evolving industry standards and regulatory requirements, communicate requirements, and support market access and certification across the Middle East and Africa, including North Africa.
• Develop and monitor compliance metrics.
• Represent the company in industry association engagements and work with regulatory bodies on draft legislation and regulations.
• Collaborate across business units, internal teams, suppliers, customers, and external agencies to negotiate, build consensus, and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a similar field from an accredited college or university. A non-technical degree is acceptable when job-related experience requirements are met.
• 4+ years of job-related experience in engineering, data science, and compliance-related roles.
• Strong communication, social, leadership, project management, business management, analytical, technical, negotiation, and consensus-building skills.
• Ability to understand complex engineering concepts and applications, technical publications, industry standards, regulations, and complex compliance texts.
• Ability to develop and manage complex projects to plan and lead teams through challenging technical issues.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively with internal teams, other business units, customers, suppliers, and external agencies across diverse cultures and management levels.
• Comfort working in a rapidly evolving regulatory and commercial environment.
• Arabic and English language skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with radio or data communications and asset connectivity.
• Experience with telematics certification, data regulations, and digital application development.
• Engineering development or validation experience with mobile machines, engines, or power systems.
• Experience in technical advocacy and demonstrated negotiation skills.
• French language skills.
• Self-starter profile with strong technical and leadership skills.
