TL;DR
Senior Customer Engineer (Oil & Gas) (Edge AI and Sovereign Infrastructure): Leading technical pre-sales for National Oil Company engagements, translating upstream, midstream, and downstream operational challenges into edge compute, sovereign AI, and disconnected-environment solutions with an accent on integrated architecture, proofs of concept, and partner technologies. Focus on designing hardware, enclosure, networking, and application deployment architectures for remote sites, supporting RFPs, and guiding implementations across the Middle East.
Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote); willingness to travel across the region is required.

What you will do
- Lead technical pre-sales for regional National Oil Company accounts, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical proposals.
- Design integrated edge solutions covering site enclosures, workload-sized hardware, local data transfer, remote backhaul, and application deployment.
- Translate upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas use cases into edge compute and sovereign AI architectures.
- Lead proofs of concept and remain the customer’s technical point of contact through implementation.
- Position Galleon, Atlas, and Bridge platforms alongside Microsoft Azure Local, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm technologies.
- Support bids and RFPs with architecture diagrams, hardware and software selection, effort estimates, and partner coordination.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, customer engineering, or sales engineering.
- Direct oil and gas sector experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of edge computing, data center infrastructure, cloud, and/or AI/ML solution architecture.
- Experience scoping and running proofs of concept and writing technical proposals.
- Familiarity with the GCC/MEA energy landscape and National Oil Company procurement and operating environments.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, plus willingness to travel across the region.
Nice to have
- Experience with OT/IIoT, remote or disconnected operations, or data sovereignty requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Local, NVIDIA AI, or Qualcomm infrastructure.
- Arabic language skills.
