Senior Technical Service Specialist, Power

What you will do

• Act as the technical interface between customer technical departments and internal Quality, Commercial, T&I, and Production stakeholders.
• Develop or modify Power formulations, conduct laboratory testing and field trials, and adapt products and application processes to new performance requirements.
• Lead on-site technical and application support, line audits, customer complaint investigations, site investigations, and plant follow-up.
• Generate accurate data, technical reports, and related technical documentation; review procedures and methods and suggest enhancements.
• Provide technical training to customers, Marketing, and Sales, and collect and analyze competitor product information.
• Track developments in Casting and Encapsulation technology and maintain laboratory EHS and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in product development, application support, or field promotion of casting materials, focused on vacuum casting, APG processes, or potting materials, preferably in heavy electric and/or light electric applications.
• Additional 1–5 years of formulation development experience.
• Master’s degree in material science, material engineering, chemical engineering, polymer materials, or applied chemistry.
• Intermediate to advanced practice in formulation technology for casting and encapsulation product functionalities.
• Intermediate to advanced practice in controlled processing for thermoset casting and encapsulation material systems, curing and crosslinking technologies, and mechanical characterization and testing.
• Basic to intermediate practice in electrical characterization and testing, structure-property-performance relationships and structure-property mapping, and rheology and chemo-rheology for casting and encapsulation thermoset materials.
• Intermediate to advanced practice in vacuum casting, vacuum potting, and/or automatic pressure gelation processes for electrical applications.
• Thermosetting material chemical background.
