Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical/Compressor)

What you will do

• Build new compressor designs and products within program scope and manufacturability requirements.
• Research product trends and optimize cost and system performance.
• Perform load, force, component-strength, static, and dynamic analyses for new product development.
• Customize layouts and tooling according to design-for-customer and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to identify and mitigate risks using PFMEA and DFMEA.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, maintain project and technical learning records, support product launches, and drive continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; equivalent experience is accepted.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with a BS degree or 5 years with an MS degree in mechanical engineering design, including static and dynamic analysis, material strength calculations, and component design optimization.
• Proven technical knowledge and skills in mechanical design.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Excellent verbal and written English interpersonal skills.

• Experience in compressor design.
• Strong background knowledge of refrigeration systems.
