Corporate Accountant (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California; hybrid, with office work required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Base salary: $105,000–$125,000 per year for roles based in San Francisco.

What you will do

• Prepare journal entries and adjustments with supporting documentation across monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Support accounts payable and cash reconciliations, including flux analysis and commentary, and complete close work on time.
• Help establish repeatable global accounting processes as the business expands into new countries.
• Organize and track open items, requests, and timelines for international statutory audits in coordination with Tax and cross-functional partners.
• Use Claude with appropriate data safeguards to improve reconciliation analysis, audit support, documentation, and quality checks.
• Strengthen controls, accounting processes, documentation quality, financial statements, and statutory filings.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of core corporate accounting processes, including close activities, accounts payable, and cash reconciliations.
• Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting, with some familiarity with IFRS.
• Experience in public accounting, audit, or corporate accounting; early-career candidates and new graduates with relevant experience are welcome.
• Ability to organize and track work across multiple international statutory audits with accuracy, clear follow-through, and attention to deadlines.
• Curiosity to learn country-specific accounting requirements.
• Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, including explaining fluctuations and their business drivers.
• Ownership, sound judgment, and a continuous-improvement mindset focused on accurate, scalable, and well-documented work.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, or a similar ERP.
• Experience with BlackLine, tax, or close management.
