Location: Canada; remote-first team working across Canada, the US, and the UK

Annual salary: $190,400–$309,400 CAD; most new hires join at $226,100 CAD

What you will do

• Lead and coach a small, senior team exploring and implementing new AI approaches for software development.
• Champion AI-assisted development across the engineering organization through clear and honest communication.
• Partner with developers across hirify.global to understand their workflows and ensure experiments solve real development problems.
• Define and measure progress while maintaining the engineering quality bar.
• Connect teams and individuals experimenting with AI so learnings are shared across hirify.global.

Requirements

• Hands-on understanding of active code-writing problems and product-team developer workflows.
• Previous experience leading a transformation of development work while maintaining or raising quality standards.
• Strong communication skills, software-evangelist energy, and practical experience leading organizational change.
• Ability to explain the problem being solved and the approach clearly while maintaining engagement.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to enable deep, effective partnerships with product teams.
• Pragmatic operating style, including defining success, measuring progress, establishing a baseline quickly, and integrating results into strategy.
• Ability to work iteratively and make longer-term decisions with confidence.
