Business Analyst

Location: Lansing, Michigan; must be local for on-site interviews and on-site work. No remote option.

What you will do

• Lead requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technology teams.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and functional requirements.
• Analyze current-state and future-state processes, identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, and perform gap, root cause, and impact analyses.
• Support Agile delivery through sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and requirements traceability.
• Support UAT, develop and validate test scenarios, and coordinate issue resolution between business and technical teams.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, build consensus, communicate risks and dependencies, and present recommendations to business leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional Business Analyst experience.
• Experience supporting software development initiatives throughout the SDLC and working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting requirements.
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, business process analysis, process mapping, requirements traceability, UAT coordination, stakeholder facilitation, gap analysis, and functional documentation.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and requirements management throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience using one or more of Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, or Lucidchart.
