Epic Orders Application Analyst Senior (Epic)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, with quarterly required travel; listed locations include Key Bank Tower, Nevada Central Office, and Peaks Regional Office in Broomfield, Colorado. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with evening and weekend on-call rotation. California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington are currently paused for new candidate sourcing or new relocation requests.

Hourly range: $39.97–$62.91, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Plan, design, configure, test, implement, maintain, monitor, and optimize Epic Inpatient Orders and related information systems.
• Analyze stakeholder problems, diagnose incidents, determine resolutions, and provide ongoing technical and functional support.
• Translate technology requirements into design and development specifications, document workflow changes, and support product management.
• Partner with vendors on third-party application integrations, implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
• Serve as project manager for mid-size, cross-functional projects; coordinate governance, roadmaps, budgets, resources, and delivery of business value.
• Develop testing plans, scripts, training and knowledge materials; review team quality, mentor peers, and participate in on-call and command center responsibilities.

Requirements

• EpicCare Ambulatory Certification and experience supporting healthcare EHR systems.
• Four years of work experience in related areas, or six years of experience while actively working toward a bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare, business, or a related field; alternatively, active progress toward a bachelor's degree with nine years of professional experience.
• Relevant additional experience may substitute for education with supervisory and HR approval.
• Ability to obtain certification on one or more Epic applications and maintain certification.
• In-depth business and application knowledge; knowledge of system analysis and operating systems.
• Ability to assess needs, collect data, define problems, draw valid conclusions, and determine appropriate approaches through documentation.
• Ability to interpret industry publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports and process documents; and present information to employees, managers, directors, senior leaders, and the public.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel pivot tables, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word; knowledge of project management and control.
• Ability to operate IT equipment, read monitors and documents, and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
