Director, Strategic Digital Technology (AI)

Location: On-site at the San Jose headquarters, San Jose, California, United States

Base pay: $248,800–$311,000 per year

hirify.global develops an end-to-end advanced air mobility platform, including air taxis, unmanned aircraft systems, aviation-related physical AI solutions, and other technologies for commercial aerospace and defense customers.

What you will do

• Partner with the Chief Digital Officer to translate digital strategy into multi-year roadmaps, annual operating plans, quarterly OKRs, budgets, headcount plans, and investment priorities.
• Own leadership meeting cadences, business reviews, steering forums, decision logs, governance, executive scorecards, and dashboards covering delivery, spend, risk, and organizational health.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, manufacturing, operations, finance, legal, security, and People; clear blockers and manage dependencies and commitments.
• Support major platform, vendor, and integration decisions and align the technology portfolio with enterprise priorities.
• Drive company-wide AI tool and workflow adoption through training, change management, and measurement of business impact.
• Prepare executive and board materials, represent the Chief Digital Officer when needed, run leadership offsites and all-hands meetings, and coach leaders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in strategy, technology operations, program or portfolio management, digital transformation, or management consulting.
• 5+ years leading teams, portfolios, or cross-functional efforts at manager level or above.
• Experience translating executive strategy into plans, OKRs, and measurable results in a complex organization.
• Experience running executive operating rhythms, including planning cycles, business reviews, and governance forums.
• Strong financial skills in budgeting, forecasting, and investment prioritization.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics to executives and boards.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead without direct authority.
• Working knowledge of enterprise technology such as ERP, PLM, MES, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI.
• Experience in a regulated, safety-critical, or high-reliability environment such as aerospace, defense, financial services, healthcare, or advanced manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site at the San Jose headquarters.

Nice to have

• MBA or another related master’s degree.
• Experience in an executive office, transformation office, or strategic business partner role supporting a C-level leader.
• Experience leading enterprise AI adoption, training, or enablement programs.
• Background in human-centered design, product management, or user experience.
• Executive coaching or leadership development credentials, such as ICF certification.
• Familiarity with ITAR, CMMC, or NIST 800-171 compliance frameworks.
• PMP, Prosci, or SAFe certification.
• Experience in a high-growth or scale-up company.
