Facility Manager (Waste Management)

Location: Warren, Michigan, United States; onsite facility-based role.

Salary: $108,900–$155,600 USD per annum.

What you will do

• Lead facility personnel and activities to ensure safe operations, environmental compliance, and adherence to laws, permits, policies, and procedures.
• Build a positive EH&S culture, maintain communication plans, set goals, conduct performance reviews, approve time off and timesheets, and oversee training and qualification plans.
• Direct the development and approval of facility SOPs, logbooks, shift summaries, CMMS reports, schedules, checklists, and vendor documentation.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, spare-parts inventory, capital projects, purchasing controls, invoices, and facility reliability improvements.
• Manage profitability, budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
• Collaborate with sales to identify buyers and market opportunities, negotiate contracts, and broker the sale and delivery of oil produced at the facility.

Requirements

• Ten years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the waste industry; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Sound decision-making, problem-solving, analytical thinking, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, waste industry regulatory requirements, and EPA, state, and local regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of waste, hazardous waste, and wastewater treatment processes and programs.
• Working knowledge of professional accounting, financial, and tax concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
