Intern - Corporate Sustainability

Location: United States (Hybrid); office location: 145 Broadway, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The 12-week program runs from May 24 through August 13, 2027, requires availability for 40 hours per week through mid-August, and requires U.S. citizenship.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Corporate Sustainability team and operational teams on company-wide sustainability programs and projects.
• Support greenhouse gas accounting, data collection, and process tracking for travel, shipping, and energy management.
• Evaluate, document, and refine environmental and energy management processes and operational workflows.
• Analyze activity, energy, and emissions data to track performance, identify trends, and find efficiency opportunities.
• Share actionable insights with internal groups and participate in cross-functional meetings, external auditor calls, and vendor or partner communications.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, business analytics, or a related field.
• Have a foundational understanding of corporate sustainability concepts and frameworks.
• Demonstrate proficiency in quantitative data review, information organization, and operational process mapping.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams, external partners, auditors, and vendors.
• Understand complex interconnected processes, apply change management principles, and adapt quickly to new tools, frameworks, and concepts.
• Be self-motivated, organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work as a team player.
• Required skills include Corporate Sustainability, Cross-Functional Project Management, and Digital Sustainability.
