Decision Science - Marketing & Communications Intern

Location: Hybrid, CT - Hartford, United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future.

Hourly salary: $24.00–$26.00.

What you will do

• Analyze customer and market data to identify challenges, trends, and opportunities and create actionable business solutions.
• Identify, integrate, and structure complex data flows.
• Design and conduct explanatory analyses at the appropriate level of complexity.
• Build dashboards and provide qualitative and quantitative support to ensure metric accuracy.
• Validate, manipulate, and analyze data while working with relational databases, reporting systems, and discovery tools.
• Collaborate with team members on projects and support pilot proof-of-concept initiatives.

Requirements

• Pursuing or having obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Related internship or data work experience.
• Python and/or SAS literacy.
• Strong accountability, ownership, and responsibility for actions, outcomes, performance, and results.
• Analytical and critical-thinking ability, including identifying problems or opportunities, analyzing and synthesizing data, evaluating cause-and-effect relationships, and exploring alternative solutions for decision-making.
• Ability to remain focused and energized during ambiguity, change, or strenuous demands; strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, relationship-management, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work inclusively with people from different backgrounds, experiences, cultures, and races, and to treat differences as assets.
• Strong work ethic, inquisitiveness, and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• SQL experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with dashboarding, scorecard, or reporting tools is a plus.
