Senior Electronic Design Engineer (Safety-Critical Electronics)

Location: UK - Lincoln; onsite role

What you will do

• Design and develop discrete electronic architectures for safety-critical product lines.
• Deliver end-to-end designs including schematics, PCB layouts, testing equipment, implementation, and qualification.
• Conduct peer reviews to validate designs and engineering methodologies.
• Perform reliability assessments using FMECA and FTA, manage product obsolescence, and support ongoing developments.
• Provide bid support by scoping hardware requirements and deliverables, and deliver designs within programme frameworks against customer requirements.
• Monitor industry compliance and safety requirements, coordinate with government officials on updated standards, and reduce programme risks through compliance and safety assessments.

Requirements

• Degree, HNC, HND in Electronics, or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of industry experience.
• Experience with discrete electronics.
• Competence with electronic design software such as CADSTAR and LTSpice.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Competence in assembling electronic components and testing hardware.
• Demonstrated experience accurately delivering highly technical documentation.
