AWS Application Architect

What you will do

• Develop and maintain application architecture documentation, technical specifications, integration diagrams, and implementation guidelines.
• Guide development teams building and modernizing applications hosted on AWS.
• Evaluate requirements and recommend AWS services, integration approaches, and implementation strategies.
• Support application prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions to validate technical approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, scalability, availability, and security requirements.
• Resolve complex application integration, performance, and connectivity issues while participating in technical reviews, code reviews, and Agile modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC.
• Experience developing and documenting application architecture, technical specifications, application components, integration patterns, application diagrams, implementation documentation, and technical recommendations.
• Strong enterprise application development experience using Java, Spring Boot, Python, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing and integrating web applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented applications.
• Experience supporting application migration, modernization, and deployment in AWS environments.
• Understanding of distributed systems, application connectivity, messaging, and integration with enterprise platforms.
• Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Amazon RDS, including SQL and data integration.
• Familiarity with automated build and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Git, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools; Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Amazon ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of secure application development, authentication, authorization, encryption, and AWS security best practices, plus the ability to diagnose application performance, integration, and cloud infrastructure issues.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with development teams and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and AWS Certified Developer – Associate certifications.
