Jr. Critical Infrastructure Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Red Oak, Texas, US; on-site position.

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Monitor and review maintenance methods, standards, and operating procedures for facility equipment.
• Support daily operations of power, HVAC, life safety, and other critical infrastructure systems in a 24/7/365 environment.
• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to plan and execute customer solutions involving space, power, and cooling.
• Provide technical support during customer installations and integrations.
• Maintain facility and compliance reports and address operational issues to support 100% uptime.
• Coordinate with operations management, vendors, and stakeholders to implement and track solutions.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of facility operations experience in data centers, telecommunications, or similar mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with maintenance management and ticketing software platforms.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, high-availability 24/7/365 environments, including vendor coordination and emergency response.
• Strong verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, and time management skills, including the ability to meet shifting deadlines.
• Foundational knowledge of mission-critical facility systems, including UPS, generators, mechanical systems, and fire safety systems.
• Understanding of building automation, energy management, and control systems for mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
