Senior Web Developer (React)

Location: Hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite in Trenton, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $75–$83 per hour

What you will do

• Build React interfaces for employee self-service and applicant-facing workflows supporting HR modernization initiatives.
• Implement forms, workflows, dashboards, reusable documented components, and component libraries or design systems from specifications and design artifacts.
• Integrate front-end components with back-end APIs and federated authentication technologies such as SAML or OpenID Connect.
• Develop automated tests and support session management, role-based views, and secure browser-based handling of user data.
• Ensure Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility, including screen-reader and keyboard-only verification, defect remediation, and conformance documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of front-end development experience, including React in production environments.
• Experience implementing a component library or design system.
• Experience with Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA conformance, including verification with assistive technology.
• Experience integrating federated authentication.
• Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and front-end testing tools.
• Experience with a Git-based workflow and pull request review.

Nice to have

• Public sector portal development experience.
• Experience with a state single sign-on provider.
• IAAP accessibility certification, such as CPACC or WAS.
• Experience supporting State of New Jersey agencies.
