Senior Strategy Director

Location: New York; four days in office and one day remote. The salary range applies to NY/CA, with location-based compensation for other locations.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually, plus potential bonus, stock options, and 401(k) match.

What you will do

• Set strategic direction across key client accounts and connect culturally informed thinking to meaningful business outcomes.
• Define complex business and brand problems, identify tensions and opportunities, and establish strategic choices.
• Lead brand, cultural, and creative strategy from insight through clear points of view and recommendations.
• Lead multiple engagements and workstreams, shape approaches to major briefs, and determine research and cross-disciplinary needs.
• Partner with Data Strategy, Context, Business, Creative, clients, and senior leadership to create integrated strategic visions.
• Develop and mentor strategists, raise standards for strategy outputs, and contribute perspectives on audiences, culture, brands, and business.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy, brand development, communications, cultural strategy, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading strategy for significant client accounts, campaigns, brand platforms, or integrated engagements.
• Proven ability to independently develop and defend strategic recommendations with senior clients and internal leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize research, cultural intelligence, business context, and audience understanding into actionable strategy.
• Exceptional strategic judgment and the ability to distinguish meaningful insights from interesting observations.
• Strong command of brand, cultural, and creative strategy; ability to simplify complex challenges into clear strategic choices.
• Persuasive storytelling, strong client leadership, senior-client credibility, and the ability to lead through ambiguity.
• Strong creative instincts, understanding of qualitative and quantitative research, and ability to lead, coach, and elevate strategists.
• Collaborative leadership style and deep curiosity about people, culture, brands, and business.
