Senior Multi-Cloud Network Engineer

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; onsite role. U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are required.

Salary: $200,000–$230,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure, resilient, high-performance cloud networks across AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure Government, and other cloud environments.
• Configure and optimize AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, and Security Groups, as well as Azure VNets, Virtual WAN, Virtual Network Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Azure Route Server, and Load Balancer.
• Design hub-and-spoke, Virtual WAN, landing zone, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures connecting AWS, Azure, on-premises enterprise networks, and mission partner networks.
• Harden cloud networking environments against DoD cybersecurity requirements, including RMF, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust Architecture, and least-privilege principles.
• Automate cloud network provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, and Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Troubleshoot routing, connectivity, latency, VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and cloud security issues; collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams and maintain architecture, implementation, security, and operational documentation.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud networking.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and VNets.
• Experience designing and implementing hybrid network architectures connecting cloud environments with on-premises networks.
• Familiarity with DoD cloud security policies and frameworks including STIGs, NIST 800-53, RMF, and Zero Trust.
• Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and security tools including Wireshark, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, and VPC Flow Logs.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, IPsec, firewalls, and network segmentation.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Experience with Cloud WAN and edge security solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Familiarity with cloud-native security solutions including AWS Shield, WAF, and Security Hub.
• Experience working with classified cloud environments including C2S, SC2S, and JWICS.
• Understanding of Zero Trust networking and identity-centric access models.
