Network Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role in the United States; eligible office locations include New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Irvine, McLean, and Washington, DC. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance are required.

Base compensation: $94,000–$175,000 USD annually, depending on location, skills, experience, and internal equity. The role may also include an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain, upgrade, configure, secure, and harden network equipment and software.
• Build and support networking across AWS, virtualized VMware, and containerized environments.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, bandwidth, VPN, wireless, and performance issues.
• Implement and enforce security compliance requirements including SOC 2, STIG, and NIST.
• Document network configurations, processes, and changes while supporting cross-training.
• Coordinate infrastructure initiatives with IT, DevOps, and security teams, including after-hours maintenance when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of network engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, the OSI model, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms, and Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with AWS networking, Terraform or Ansible, GitHub, VMware vSphere networking, container networking, wireless networking, VPNs, and high-availability technologies.
• Experience with Linux, Apache, Tomcat, PowerShell or Linux shell scripting, and monitoring tools such as Nagios and Splunk.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance.
