Instructional Designer, 6-12 ELA Transcript

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $50,000–$65,000 annually. This is a Project Status Worker role with an end date of 08/31/2027.

What you will do

• Design, storyboard, and build digital courses and lessons for 6–12 English Language Arts literacy programs using a UBD process.
• Apply backwards design, design thinking, accessibility principles, and emerging instructional design practices.
• Contribute to concept meetings, manuscript reviews, storyboards, digital asset build rounds, metadata tagging, concept mapping, and errata edits.
• Work within Agile, iterative workflows to coordinate product requirements, schedules, goals, technical bugs, enhancements, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with content, product management, creative media, vendors, freelancers, and cross-functional teams; provide workflow training and guidance.
• Lead approved workflows, support authoring-tool and platform enhancements, and deliver work according to intermediate and final schedules.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in digital content development involving teaching and learning materials.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Experience working on multiple projects with tight deliverables and budgets.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and iterative collaboration practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems.
• Ability to visualize and create animated and interactive content.

Nice to have

• Previous teaching experience with grades 6–12.
