Systems Engineer / DevOps (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Base salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year; stock options may be offered in addition.

What you will do

• Automate manual operational processes and improve workflows for developer, data, and machine learning teams.
• Manage integration and deployment tooling across a diverse technology platform.
• Create, maintain, monitor, secure, and audit infrastructure supporting a SaaS offering.
• Participate in on-call rotations and perform root cause analysis.
• Apply OWASP Top 10 techniques and information-security policies to protect infrastructure and code.
• Report actual or suspected security and policy violations or breaches to the appropriate authority.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in development, operations, IT, or a related field.
• Comfort working with Linux infrastructure, including Debian, through the command-line interface.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, and work independently.
• Ability to physically lift equipment weighing at least 30 pounds.
• Effective communication across teams and management levels.
• Experience with or ability to work across the listed technology stack, including Linux/Ubuntu, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Docker, Mesosphere, Kubernetes, Python, Ruby, Node, Bash, Jenkins, Arista, Cisco, Fortinet, HP, SuperMicro, Ceph, S3, Scylla, Postgres, Pivotal GreenPlum, RabbitMQ, ELK, AWS, TCP/IP, ICMP, SSH, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, RAID, distributed file systems, NFS, iSCSI, and CIFS.
