Audit Data Analyst - Senior

Location: Columbus, OH, United States; office-based. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Partner with audit teams and business and technology stakeholders to translate audit objectives, risks, processes, and controls into data-driven testing approaches.
• Obtain, analyze, validate, and document large and complex datasets for audit engagements.
• Develop testing populations, analytical procedures, recurring population analyses, exception identification, trend analysis, and reporting for continuous auditing.
• Use SQL and other analytics tools to identify anomalies, patterns, trends, and insights related to audit objectives.
• Build repeatable and reusable analytical solutions, testing libraries, automation, and methodologies that improve audit coverage, efficiency, and consistency.
• Communicate analytical findings and complex technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences, provide guidance to analysts, and contribute to analytics standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in data analytics, audit analytics, technology, risk management, or internal audit.

Nice to have

• Experience using SQL to analyze large and complex datasets and translating business, risk, or audit objectives into data-driven analytical solutions.
• Experience with data validation, analytical testing, population-based analysis, exception-based analysis, or continuous analytics.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain results to nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work independently and collaboratively.
• Degree or advanced coursework in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with Python or another data analysis or scripting language and with business intelligence or visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Experience with automation, artificial intelligence, emerging analytics technologies, repeatable or reusable analytical solutions, data quality, data lineage, data governance, and validation concepts.
• Knowledge of banking processes, risks, regulations, and regulatory expectations; experience working directly with business and technology stakeholders; intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn and apply new technologies and analytical techniques.
